About Toronto Bulldogs Hockey Development

     After 25 years of developing hockey players of all ages and skill levels through their Elite Spring Programs, The Toronto Bulldogs launched their Hockey Development program in Summer 2019. The programs have produced some talented alumni, many of which have gone on to play Major Junior, NCAA, Professionally and in the NHL. Now, with the launch of Toronto Bulldogs Hockey Development, our focus is on training and developing youth hockey players to achieve their full potential year-round in various sessions, camps and skill clinics we offer.

     Toronto Bulldogs Hockey Development and all its sessions are run and led by Owner and Head Instructor Massimo Lamacchia.
Massimo has recently retired after over 20+ years of hockey playing experience starting from Minor Hockey to Professional Leagues. He spent his entire 8-year GTHL minor hockey career with the Toronto Marlboros before moving on to play 3 years of 'Jr.A' hockey in Ontario and British Columbia. After Junior, Massimo accepted an offer to play NCAA Division 1 for Ivy League Brown University in the ECAC. After a successful 4-year US University career in New England, he graduated with a B.A Degree in Business Economics. He went on to play 3 years Professionally in North America and Europe, including time with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins) and Manchester Monarchs (ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings).    

     In addition to his playing career, Massimo brings coaching experience as well having been on the Toronto Bulldogs Brick Team staff for the past 9 years, that includes 6 Brick Championships. He has also been involved with other Bulldogs teams at various ages, and in the winter is coaching in the GTHL at the AAA level. 
     
     Massimo aims to share his passion, vast experiences and extensive hockey background to help today's players learn and develop their skills in all crucial areas of the game including skating, edge work, puck handling, passing, shooting, quick decision making and more. Through an up-tempo, challenging and fun atmosphere, the objective is to give players the tools required to build their confidence and push themselves and their game to another level, and ultimately achieve their goals.
