I have been involved as the coach of the 2002 Toronto Bulldogs since 2009. The program has included practices, tournaments, exhibition games, barbeques, pool parties, travel and loads of fun for the players and families. The program goal is to have fun, work hard, make friends and learn a bit more about the game. We generally do 4 or 5 tournaments and 7 or 8 practices. Spring hockey allows for players from all over the GTHL, OMHA and Alliance to play together and make new friends outside of your winter team zone. The program starts with tryouts in the fall, with the spring season starting late April and ends 6 weeks later in early to mid June allowing players to do the summer sports. The players love the Bulldogs jerseys and attire and the organization makes it easy for us to operate by organizing everything. If you get the chance to coach or help out with Spring Hockey with your kids, jump at it. All three of my kids have played on the Bulldogs and have great memories. We have included some pictures from the years, enjoy.
